Az OSZK 1899. decemberében Knauz Nándor (Ferdinánd) hagyatékból Dobrovszky antikváriustól egy nagyalakú kötetbe kötve 30 kódextöredéket vásárolt (Növedéknapló 1899. év 367. sz., Kézirattári növedéknapló 1899/36-2). A kötet jelzete A 23 lett. Bartoniek Emma cédulakatalógusában a különböző kódexekből származó töredékeknek önálló alszámot adott (A 23/I, A 23/II, A 23/III, A 23/IV, A 23/V). A jelenleg érvényes jelzeteket (Fragm. A 23/1–5) a töredékek 2000 után kapták, az A 23/II sorszáma nem változott.

The history of the Fragment:

In January 1900 the NSZL bought 30 codex fragments bound in a large-format volume, coming from the legacy of Nándor (Ferdinánd) Knauz, from antiquarian bookseller Dobrovszky (Accession Register year 1899, no. 367, Manuscript Collection Accession Register 1899/36-2). The volume received the shelfmark A 23, and actually contained 29 fragments. They were separated in 1994-95, and the fragments originating from the same codex received an additional differentiating number: A 23/1, A 23/2, A 23/3, A 23/4, A 23/5.

Die Széchényi-Nationalbibliothek kaufte Januar 1900 von dem Antiquar Ágost Dobrovszky aus dem Nachlass von Nándor Ferdinánd Knauz 30, in einem großformatigen Band eingebundenen Kodexfragmente (im Akzessionsverzeichnis 1899 Nr. 367., Handschriftenzuwachsverzeichnis 1899/36-1). Die Fragmente wurden unter der gemeinsamen Signatur A 23 geordnet, in der Wirklichkeit bedeuteten aber 28 Fragmente. Diese wurden 1994-95 getrennt die aus dem gleichen Trägerhs. stammenden Stücke erhielten selbständigen Unternummern (s. noch A 23/1, A 23/2, A 23/4) Die Fragmente wurden höchstwahrscheinlich in Pressburg in Nándor Knauzs Besitz übergegangen.
